The Bachelor of Information Technology (Cybersecurity), or BIT (Cybersecurity), is a three-year undergraduate course designed to deliver a comprehensive education in cybersecurity and advanced technology. The course comprises 24 units, amounting to a total of 240 credit points.
The course includes 22 core units, totalling 220 credit points, which cover essential topics in cybersecurity and technological advancements. These core units equip students with the knowledge and skills required to tackle the growing challenges in the cybersecurity field. In addition to the core units, students must complete 2 elective units, each worth 10 credit points, for a total of 20 credit points. These electives allow students to customise their learning by delving into specialised areas of interest within the expansive field of cybersecurity.
To be awarded the Bachelor of Applied Technology (Cybersecurity), students must complete 240 credit points in total, encompassing 22 core units (220 credit points) and 2 elective units (20 credit points). The course is structured to provide a balanced education, combining foundational theory and practical application in cybersecurity, and preparing graduates for both technical and leadership roles in the evolving digital security landscape.
